MINAGRI launched an online training platform for small agriculture

Initiative is part of the Rural Action Plan for a Fairer Chile.
To face climate change and the context of health emergency, the Ministry of Agriculture, MINAGRI, through the Foundation for Communications, Training and Culture of Agriculture, FUCOA, launched last May the digital platform Escuela de Capacitación Chile Agrícola, which offers about 200 contents on agricultural topics, in: www.chileagricola.cl
The initiative is part of the Rural Action Plan for a Fairer Chile, promoted by MINAGRI since 2019, and its main objective is that small farmers, agricultural entrepreneurs and advisers of Peasant Family Agriculture have access to training and relevant information to improve their opportunities productive, increase their socio-economic well-being and face the challenges posed by climate change and the current health emergency.

The contents (manuals, technical sheets and videos) of Chile Agrícola are classified according to the main topics of interest in agriculture collected through the management of MINAGRI and its services: water, sustainable agriculture, good practices, pest and disease control, entrepreneurship and commercial management, support and financing instruments, technology and information, productive management and COVID-19.

The Chile Agrícola Training School allows you to view the contents online, download and print them, as well as share them directly on social networks and by email with a simple click.

The platform also offers the user the option of registering to have a profile that allows, on the one hand, to personalize the search for content, save favorite material and review the history of material reviewed, and on the other, be part of the Chile Agrícola community, where you can have contact with interest groups (agricultural commercial executives, Prodesal, representatives of companies and institutions) and participate in discussion forums, among other functionalities.
